Zofia (Kalata) Jurkowski, 79, of Wayne, passed away on October 13, 2015. Born in Krempachy, Poland, she came to the US in 1963 and lived in Clifton before moving to Wayne in 1975. A parishioner of Ss. Cyril & Methodius RC Church, Clifton, Zofia was a member of the Slovak Rosary Society, Domovina, and the Slovak Catholic Sokol. Zofia was a Seamstress for Botany Mills, Passaic, and later was a Machine Operator for Bergen Cable Technologies in Lodi for many years, retiring in 2001. Beloved wife of the late Frank who passed away in 2013. Devoted mother of Joseph Jurkowski and his wife Emily, and Mary Gore. Beloved grandmother of Monica Bialobok and her husband Tim, Jessica Gore, Stephanie Gore, Jeannine O'Neill and her husband Brian, and Joseph Gore. Cherished great grandmother of Margaret and Katherine Bialobok. Dear sister of Jan Kalata and many other family members in Krempachy, Poland. Funeral Saturday 7:45 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 9 AM at Ss. Cyril & Methodius RC Church, Clifton. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook. Visiting Friday 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
