Zdzislaw Fijorek, 80, of Garfield, passed away on December 28, 2012. Born in Przasnysz, Poland, he came to the US in 1981 and settled in Clifton, moving to Garfield 30 years ago. Zdzislaw, who served as a Corporal in the Polish Army, was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Kostka RC Church, Garfield. Zdzislaw was a Welder for Meyer Textile Co. in Clifton for 16 years, retiring in 1997. Beloved husband for 53 years of Jadwiga (Strzeszewska). Devoted father of Andrzej and his wife Kazimira of Elmwood Park. Loving grandfather of Isabella and Johanna. Dear brother of Stefan of Poland. Funeral Monday 10:15 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 11:30 AM at St. Stanislaus Kostka RC Church. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook.
