William J. Umhoefer, III, 55, of Paterson passed away on March 29, 2011. Born in Paterson, he was raised in Clifton and has been a resident of Paterson since 1982.

A parishioner of St. James RC Church, Totowa, Bill was an Electrician with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union, Local #102, Parsippany for the past 20 years. Bill was a member of the American Hunting Club, the National Rifle Association, was an avid fisherman, hunter and golf enthusiast, and a Master Carpenter.

Beloved husband for 30 years of Susan (Urry). Devoted father of Rachel Umhoefer of Paterson, and William, IV, and his wife Shannon of Parsippany. Loving son of Joan (Wolf) of Clifton and the late William J., Jr.. Dear brother of Michele Sanicki and her husband Raymond, Gretchen Handoga and her husband Peter, Allene Pitak and her husband Joseph, all of Clifton. Cherished brother in law of John and Dot Urry, Ellen and David Corsi, Chris and Karen Urry, Kenneth Urry, Steven Urry and Mike Greene. Loving uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Monday 9:30 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 11 AM at St. James RC Church, Totowa. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Visiting Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
