William E. Carroll, "Bill", 91, of Clifton, passed away on September 30, 2012. Born in Anderson, IN, he first came to Clifton in 1943, living in Toms River for 5 years, returning to Clifton in 1994. A Coast Guard Veteran during WW II, Bill was a member of the Athenia Veterans Post and VFW Post # 7165, Clifton. A parishioner of St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton, Bill was an International Warehouse Manager for Dupont Corp. in Pompton Plains, where he worked for 30 years, retiring in 1986. Beloved husband of the late Norma J. (Allen) who passed away in 2003. Devoted and loving father of Vera Anne Schimenti and her husband Anthony of Clifton, Nancy J. Carroll of Belleville, and William G. Carroll and his late wife Rita of Murfreesboro, TN. Dear brother of the late John Carroll and Mary Lou Tormey. Cherished grandfather of Lisa Janssen and her husband Daniel, and Robert Schimenti and his wife Christine. Loving great grandfather of Julia and Amanda Schimenti, and Ava, Ruby and Vincent Janssen. Dear step grandfather of Brent Paschal and his wife Tabitha, Bradley Paschal and his wife Melissa. Dear step great grandfather of Parker, Bryleigh, Fisher and Ellie Paschal. Dear brother in law of Phyllis Carroll. Loving uncle of several nieces and nephews.
