Will Smith, 69, of Passaic, NJ passed away on November 1, 2023. He was born and raised in Red Springs, NC before moving to Passaic in 1965. A veteran of the US Marine Corps, Will served from 1972 to 1978 and remained active with his local VFW and DAV posts. Will was a Tax Assessor for the City of Passaic for just under 20 years and was a huge supporter of the Passaic PBA and FMBA.

A proud Passaic City resident, Will was known as the man behind the camera. He was a true "car lover" and a committed member of the United Street Racers, Passaic City Riders, and collected many cars and motorcycles. He created the annual Car Show in the Park and was also instrumental in putting together other car shows throughout the area.

He is the devoted father of Will L. Smith and his wife Viviana of Passaic. Cherished grandfather of Jaiden, Issabel, Sasha, honorary granddaughter Amiyah and God Father to Angie. Big Will was a devoted friend and touched countless lives. He will never be forgotten and is sorely missed.

The viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 7, from 4-9 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral service Thursday, November 9, 10 AM at the funeral home. Interment, 1 PM,  Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ.

PLEASE NOTE: There will be no visitation or services on Wednesday, November 8, 2023.
