Wanda (Spychaj) Maka, 88, of Clifton, passed away on June 21, 2013. Born in Wysoka, Poland, she came to the US in 1966 and lived in Clifton most of her life. A parishioner of St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton, Wanda was a member of the Polish Rosary Society. Wanda was a Seamstress for Bari Manufacturing in Passaic for 21 years, retiring in 1987. Beloved wife of the late Mieczyslaw who passed away in 1991. Devoted mother of Zygmunt and his wife Anna of Wallington, and Sophie Olszowy of Garfield and her late husband Joseph who passed away in 1995. Loving grandmother of Daniel and his wife Jahn, Mark and his future wife Tara, Gregory, Derek, Stephen and Lisa, cherished great grandmother of Madeline Rose. Dear sister of Frank Spychaj and his wife Mary of Clifton, and the late Maria Bajer and Roza Golinska. Loving aunt of several nieces and nephews. Funeral Tuesday 9 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton. Interment, St. Michael's Cemetery, South Hackensack. Visiting Monday 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
