Obituary

Wanda (Lenart) Jakubczyk, 89, of Clifton on April 22, 2010. Born in Passaic, she was a lifelong resident of Clifton. Wanda and her late husband Stanley were the Founders of Able Paint and Hardware on Van Houten Avenue in the Athenia Section of Clifton, which they opened in 1959. Wanda was well known for her sense of humor and her witty personality.

An active parishioner of St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton, Wanda was a member of the Rosary & Altar Society, the Golden Circle, and was one of the "Pierogi Ladies" with the Loaves & Fishes. Wanda was also a member of the Athenia Veterans Post Auxiliary.

Beloved wife for 55 years of the late Stanley E., who died in 1996. Devoted mother of Barbara Mieczkowski and her husband John of Clifton, and Stanley A., of Clifton. Loving grandmother of John Mieczkowski and his wife Andrea, and Lisa Kulesa and her husband Brian, all of Clifton. Cherished great grandmother of Hannah and Lukas Kulesa, and Julia and John Mieczkowski. Dear sister of the late Albin Lenart who died in 1974, and Julian Lenart who died in 2003.

Funeral Monday 9 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton. Interment, East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.
