Walter J. Snyder, 85, of Passaic, passed away on October 14, 2024. Born in Passaic, he was a lifelong resident.

A US Army Veteran, Walter was a Sergeant with the Passaic Police Department and later a Detective with the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office, retiring in 1995. Walter was a member of Passaic PBA #14, the American Legion Post, Passaic, and the Passaic YMCA.

Beloved husband of Jean (Saybak) Snyder. Devoted father of Marylynn Snyder and Kimberlee Safranek.

Funeral services were private under the direction of the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Interment with Military Honors was held at St. Michael's Cemetery, South Hackensack.
