Walter "Butch" Daszczyszak, 68, of Carlsbad, NM, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2015. Born in Passaic, he lived in Lodi before moving to Carlsbad in 1978. A US Navy Veteran during the Vietnam War, Butch worked for Texas Street Lumber for a number of years. He started at the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant in 1986 in maintenance, and worked his way up to environmental compliance where he retired from in 2010. Butch was a motorcycle enthusiast, and rode for the Christian Motorcyclists Assocation. He also enjoyed shooting guns at the target range. Beloved son of the late Walter and Mildred (Smiraldi) Daszczyszak. Beloved brother of Richard and his wife Halina "Eva" of Clifton. Loving uncle of Nicolette Schenk and her husband Chris, and the late Danielle Daszczyszak. Memorial Mass, Saturday 10 AM at Most Holy Name RC Church, 99 Marsellus Pl., Garfield. Kindly meet at the church. Burial of Ashes immediately following at St. Michael's Cemetery, South Hackensack. In lieu of flowers, donations made to Most Holy Name RC Church, in memory of Butch, would be greatly appreciated.
