Viola (Corio) Waddell, 96, of Clifton passed away on October 27, 2023. Born in Jersey City, Viola was raised in North Arlington before moving to Clifton in 1958. She was a Secretary for Hoffmann LaRoche in Nutley for many years before retiring in 1984. A parishioner of St. Andrew's RC Church, Clifton, Viola was a member of their 39ers club and also of the Walkie Talkies of Clifton and St. Theresa of the Little Flower Society.

Beloved wife of the late John A. Waddell who passed away in 2001. Devoted mother of John Waddell and his wife Laura of North Arlington, Mark Waddell and his wife Monica Beck of NYC, and Michael Waddell of Clifton. Cherished grandmother of John and his wife Regina, Tiffany and her husband Eric, Adam and his wife Isabella, Kyle and his wife Meridith, Steven and his partner Jacquelyn, Katherine and her husband Italo, Daniel and his wife Hope, and Rene and her husband Rodrigo. Loving great-grandmother of 10. Dear sister of the late Marie Dente and Betty Itz.

Visiting Wednesday 4-8PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral Thursday 8:15AM at the funeral home and 9:30AM at St. Andrew the Apostle RC Church, Clifton. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
