Vincent
Rodio
August 18, 2025
It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Vincent Rodio, a beloved husband, father, grandfather (Nonno), and friend, who left us peacefully on August 18, 2025, at the age of 88.
Born on September 16, 1936, in Ceraso, Italy, Vincent lived a life defined by family, faith, hard work, and kindness. His lifelong profession as a barber deeply shaped who he was, and he was admired for his integrity, craftsmanship, and unwavering work ethic. It was a vocation he
embraced from his pre-teen years and practiced faithfully until his very last days.
Beyond his work, Vincent was most proud of the family he built with his beloved wife. Together, they created a home filled with love and traditions that will carry on through generations. He is survived by his wife, Francesca Rodio; their two sons, Marcello Rodio and Leonardo Rodio, and
their wives, Patricia Rodio and Patricia Rodio; his three sisters, Luigina Rodio, Nicolina Rodio, and Maria Rodio Mazza; and his five grandchildren, Leonardo, Victoria, Massimo, Marcella, and Antonella.
To his family, he was a source of peace, wisdom, and endless love. Vincent's presence was a gift to all who knew him. He loved tending his garden, gathering for Sunday dinners, playing three-card poker or roulette, cheering for his beloved team Napoli, and traveling the world. He was known for his warm smile, gentle heart, and the way he always placed others before himself.
Family and friends are invited to honor Vincent's life at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, NJ, on Wednesday, August 20th, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, August 21st, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Cassian's Church, Montclair, NJ. Entombment will follow at Mount Hebron Cemetery, Montclair, NJ.
Vincent will be forever missed and remembered with love by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
