It is with heavy hearts we announce that Valeria Cichowicz passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023 at the age of 94. She was born in Italy to Giovanni and Romana Mohorovicie on July 7, 1928. In 1962 she moved from Lugano, Switzerland were she worked as a hotel manager to Montreal, Canada. One year later Valeria began working for the Imperial Bank of Commerce as a Clerk in Toronto where she met her husband Zdzislaw K. Cichowicz. They married in 1963 and moved to New York City shortly after. They moved to Verona, NJ in 1985 and have lived there since. During her life Valeria also worked at Roosevelt and Son INC as an assistant controller and SoGen Swiss International Group as a secretary-treasurer. Valeria loved math and always shared the importance of hard work and education. She was kind, caring, a devoted wife and amazing aunt to all her nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by not only her family but all who knew her!

A funeral mass will be held at St. John Kanty Church in Clifton, NJ on April 14th at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests mass donations be made for Valeria and her Late Husband Zdzislaw at St. John Kanty Church. Valeria will be reunited with her husband and layed to eternal rest in Warsaw, Poland.
