Thomas J. Salerno, 77, of Clifton, passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family, on March 24, 2012. Born in Clifton, he was a lifelong resident. A parishioner of St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton, Thomas was a Chemical Supervisor for BASF in Kearny for many years, retiring several years ago. Beloved husband for 56 years of Patricia (Yutko). Devoted father of the late Kenneth T. who died earlier this month, and Alan D. who died in 2000. Loving grandfather of Ashley, Thomas "Tom" and Allison "Ally". Dear brother of Marie Patti and her husband Joseph of Clifton. Funeral Wednesday 9 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton.
