Thomas M. Reno, Ret. Captain PFD, 101, of Passaic, passed away on February 10, 2026. Born and raised in Passaic, he lived in Manahawkin and Livingston, before moving 2 years ago to the NJ Firemen's Home in Boonton.

A US Navy Veteran, Tom proudly served his country during WW II. Tom began his career in public safety as a Police Officer with the Passaic Police Department for several years, later becoming a Firefighter for 35 years with the Passaic Fire Department, retiring as a Captain in 1985. Tom enjoyed gardening, watching baseball and basketball, spending time on the beach at his residence, and collecting antiques.

Beloved husband of the late Sheila (Cooney) Reno, who passed away in 2011. Devoted father of Noreen Zak and her husband Edward, Geralyn Reno and her companion Peter Trosky, and Mary Anne Reno-Puentes and her husband Luis. Loving grandfather of Kerry, Kevin and Alexander.

Visiting Sunday, February 15, 2026, 2-6 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral Monday, February 16, 2026, 8:45 AM at the funeral home and 10 AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton. Interment, St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi.
