Thomas B. Murphy, affectionately known as Uncle Tom, passed away February 8,2024. He left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him, passing away after a life richly lived in the embrace of family, adventure, and the pursuit of happiness. Starting life in Clifton, New Jersey, and later moving to Little Falls, Tom's journey was one of deep love, dedication, and the joy of exploration, particularly shared with his wife of 34 years, Ginny Rizzuto, until her passing in 2007.

Tom's commitment and long career to at the Garden State Parkway was matched only by his passion for life's simple pleasures, including his favorite well-done pizzas and his unparalleled talent for planning memorable cruises. These voyages, especially those to the cherished shores of Hawaii alongside Ginny, reflected his belief in the importance of embracing life's beauty and diversity.

Sadly, the circle of family and friends mourning Tom's loss includes not only those predeceased: his wife Ginny, his parents Ida and John Murphy, his brother and sister-in-law Patricia & John Murphy, his sister-in-law Barbara Rizzuto Klimek, brother-in-law Michael Rizzuto, nephew Jeff Rizzuto, and great-niece Margaret Walling. Tom's legacy lives on through his loving nieces and nephews: Philip Murphy, Ed Klimek, Scott Rizzuto, Donna Murphy Walling, Christine Klimek Cole, Joe Murphy, Chris Rizzuto, and Matt Rizzuto, as well as his siblings-in-law Ed Klimek, Alfred and Linda Rizzuto.

Tom was a beacon of adventure, wisdom, and unconditional love, profoundly influencing his family's lives. His departure signals not only the loss of a beloved family member but also the end of an era filled with joy, enthusiasm, and the shared moments of special times that define a life well-lived.

In celebrating Thomas B. Murphy's life, we remember a man whose love of his family was paramount.

All are welcome to celebrate the funeral mass for Uncle Tom that will be held Friday, March 22,2024 @ 10 AM at Our Lady of the Holy Angels RC Church, 473 Main Street, Little Falls, NJ. Interment will be private.
