Thomas Alma Broadbent, 68, of Clifton passed away on December 4, 2022. Born in Provo, Utah, he has been a resident of Clifton for 16 years. Thomas was the Associate Director of Global Regulatory Affairs for Eisai Pharmaceutical and previously worked for the FDA in Maryland.  He received his PhD in organic chemistry from RPI in Troy, NY, and his MS in organic chemistry from BYU in Provo, UT.  A lifetime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he found great joy serving in callings such as missionary (Japan), teacher, high council member, branch president, elder's quorum president, and patriarch.

Tom is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mala Ree "Molly" (Murdock) Broadbent and his children: Megan (Jacob) Sperry of Lehi, UT; Derek (Mary) of Flagstaff, AZ; and Stacy (Clint) Stosich of Millcreek, UT. His grandchildren are Benjamin, Elena, Alex, and Daniel Sperry; Matthew, James, Elizabeth, and Katherine Broadbent; and Maxwell and Vanna Stosich. He is the brother of Karen (Jon) Green, Justin Broadbent, Camille Biexei, Nathan (Jackie) Broadbent, Marla Porter, Daniel (Marilyn) Broadbent, and the late David Broadbent.

Services will be held at his church in Caldwell, New Jersey.
