Thomas John Bresnak, 71, of Passaic, passed away on March 13, 2018. Born and raised in Passaic, Thomas was a lifelong resident of the city.

A proud veteran of the US Army, Thomas served from 1966-68, including a tour in Vietnam during the Vietnam War.

Thomas was an auto body repairman for Mercedes-Benz and various other auto body shops before retiring in 2012. An avid bird watcher and outdoorsman, Thomas loved hiking. He also enjoyed watching hockey, most especially the NJ Devils, and was a big professional wrestling fan.

Devoted father of Nicholas Bresnak and his wife Nancy of Oak Ridge. Beloved son of Sophie Bresnak. Dear brother of Debbie Shaver and her husband Steven of Garfield, and the late Diana and JoAnn. Cherished uncle of Jennifer VanSchoyck and her husband Ken, April Salerno, and Brian Mistretta and his wife Cheryl. Loving great-uncle to Amber, Christopher, and Kaitlyn.

Visitation Sunday at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, from 2-6 PM with a funeral service at 5:30 PM. Cremation will be private.
