Theodore "Ted" Krzastek, Sr., 83, of Passaic, died peacefully in Hackensack University Medical Center on March 8, 2016. Ted was born on August 19, 1932 in Passaic, to Adam and Sophie (Sudol) Krzastek.

A 1949 graduate of Clifton HS , Ted enlisted in the US Navy during the Korean War and served 4 years, mostly aboard the troop transporter, the USS Monrovia, and was a member of the Wallington VFW. Upon his return from the Navy, Ted began a 35 year career at Brogan Cadillac and Oldsmobile in Paterson, which later moved to Totowa, retiring 1996. A parishioner of St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton, "Moose" as he was known to many, was a devout NY Yankees Fan, enjoyed working on cars with his brothers, and was an avid coin collector. He and Patricia lived most of their lives in Passaic, rearing their seven children. His children remember him as a dedicated father who encouraged them to pursue their goals.

Beloved husband for 62 years of Patricia (Harte). Devoted father of  Theodore Jr. and his wife Diane of Iselin, Alan of West Milford, Robert of West Milford, Kathleen Velueta and her husband Gabriel of Canton, GA, Patrick and his wife Bridget of Lyndhurst, Laura Hojecki and her husband Edward of Montville, and Kenneth and his wife Danielle of Mt. Arlington. Cherished brother-in-law of Rosie Chrzastek of Clifton, and Ruth Krzastek of Rockaway. Loving grandfather of 17 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Dear brother of the late Phyllis Hilla, Adam, Stanley Chrzastek, Ed, and Joe Krzastek.

Funeral Saturday 9 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton. Cremation will be private. Visiting Friday 3-7 PM at the funeral home.
