Obituary

Thaddeus "Ted" Jaszkowski, 90 of Montclair, passed away on May 9, 2017. Born in Grudziadz, Poland he came to the US after WW II and settled in Elmhurst, NY, before moving to Montclair in 1985.

Conscripted to serve with the German Army, Ted was taken prisoner of war by the Allied troops. Released from captivity, he voluntarily joined the Polish Land Forces under British command in the UK. Ted transferred to the Polish Navy under British Command and served until his final discharge in 1948. Before retiring many years ago, Ted was an Engineer for Foster-Wheeler Corp.

Loving son of the late Wladyslaw and Marta (Winiecka) Jaszkowski. Dear brother of the late Teresa Sobieralski.

Funeral Tuesday 10 AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, 49 Speer Ave., Clifton. Kindly meet at church. Interment, Hackensack Cemetery, Hackensack. Arrangements under the direction of the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton.
