Teresa C. (Cedeño) Quintana, 81, of Passaic passed away peacefully in her home amongst her immediate family on February 13, 2016. Born in Cataño, Puerto Rico, on October 25, 1934 to Josefa (Ramos) and Julian Cedeño. She came to New Jersey in 1959.
Beloved wife of the late William. Devoted mother of Miriam T. Miesch and her husband Octavio E. Fernandez, Barbara M. and her fiance Ivan Enriquez, and William, Jr. and his wife Ivette. Cherished grandmother of Teresa D. Miesch, Michael W. Miesch, Antonio Fernandez, Victoria Quintana and William Quintana, III.
Teresa was a retired Registrar of Vital Statistics for the City of Passaic, NJ, and a retired Maternity Ward Clerk for Passaic General Hospital. She was a member of the United Puerto Rican Council, Passaic, and a parishioner at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Passaic.
Her life was a study of devotion to her family and loved ones. The Matriarch of the family, she will be remembered for her unselfish love and her caring and generous spirit.
Funeral Thursday 8:45 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Passaic. Interment, Lodi Cemetery, Lodi. Visiting Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
