Stephen Gerald Schwartz, 77, of Nanuet, NY, passed away on May 3, 2023. Born in the Bronx, he was a resident of Nanuet for most of his life. Before retiring, Stephen was a Math Teacher and Program Chairman at Jane Addams High School in the Bronx for over 30 years.  In addition, he was a tax preparer at H&R Block for over 40 years where he had many loyal clients.  Once retired he worked at Huntington Learning Center to continue to help students learn math and prepare for the SAT/ACT tests.

Beloved husband of Janie (Glass) Schwartz. Devoted father of Brett Schwartz of Nanuet, Andrea Kochik and her husband Steve of Elmwood Park, NJ, and the late Melissa Schwartz who passed away in 1977. Loving grandfather of Ryan Kochik.  Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Tuesday, May 9, 2023, 10 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Interment, Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge.  The family will be sitting Shiva on Monday, May 8, 2023 please reach out to the family for location and times.
