Stephanie B. (Kroczynski) Polefka, 89, of Passaic, passed away on December 15, 2015. Born in Passaic she was a lifelong resident.

A parishioner of St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton, Stephanie was a member of the SJK Golden Circle, and was a former member of Holy Rosary RC Church, Passaic. A machine operator for A. Horowitz & Co in Clifton for 23 years, retiring in 1989, Stephanie enjoyed crocheting, taking cruises and playing lottery scratch offs. Stephanie provided love and caring to all children, and was a mother to every child in the neighborhood. A lover of animals, especially cats, Stephanie rescued many feline companions.

Beloved wife of the late Emil "Jack", who passed away in 2008. Devoted mother of Allen J. of Passaic, Frank M. and his wife Faye of Orange, Thomas G. and his wife Maryann of Somerset, and Linda Kowalski and her husband Ken of Clifton. Loving grandmother of Christopher Kowalski, Lauren Masri and her husband Firman, and Sara Polefka and her fiancé David Katz. Cherished great grandmother of Aiden and Conner. Dear sister of the late Joseph, Anthony and Frank Kroczynski.

Funeral Friday 8:45 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton. Interment, St. Michael's Cemetery, South Hackensack. Visiting Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations made to Chestnut Hill Convalescent Center, 360 Chestnut St., Passaic, NJ 07055, in memory of Stephanie would be greatly appreciated.
