Stella M. (Iwanowski) Mendyk, 87, of Clifton passed away January 9, 2011. Born in Cliffside, she was a resident of Clifton for over 70 years.

A parishioner of St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton, Stella was a member of the Golden Circle and the former Leisure Club. Stella played with the Friday Night Ladies Card Club for over 35 years and enjoyed their many trips together to Las Vegas. A WW II Army Air Force Veteran, Stella served with the WAC's (Women's Army Corp) where she was a Parachute Rigger, and was a member of the Athenia Veterans Post and Auxiliary for many years. A Machine Operator for 25 years, Stella worked for Raybestos-Manhattan Rubber in Passaic before retiring many years ago.

Beloved wife of the late Edward J., who passed away in 1991. Dear sister of Emma Perrelli of FL, and the late Jennie Mendyk, Jady Muscuch, John and Albert Iwanowski. Loving aunt of several nieces and nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

Funeral Saturday 9 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at St. John Kanty RC Church. Interment, Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Paterson. Visiting Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. www.shookfh.com
