Stella Emily (Palka) Gebhardt, 88, of Clifton, passed away on August 20, 2014. Born in Wilkes Barre, PA, she lived in Passaic, Philadelphia and Paterson before moving to Clifton many years ago. A parishioner of St. Paul's RC Church, Clifton, Emily was an Administrative Assistant for Curtiss-Wright Aeronautics in Wood-Ridge for 25 years, retiring in 1981. Beloved daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Brak) Palka. Devoted wife of the late George W. Gebhardt who passed away in 1996. Dear mother of Gayle Fink of Pompton Lakes. Loving grandmother of John Joseph "JJ" Fink. Cherished sister of Viola Siwiec of Garfield, and the late Frank Palka, Rose Chizmar and Sophie Dudek. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral Monday 10 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Interment, St. Michael's Cemetery, South Hackensack. Visiting Sunday 2-4 PM at the funeral home.
