Stanislaw Kocanda, 62, of Wayne passed away on June 20, 2011. Born in Poland he came to the US in 1973, first settled in East Rutherford, and lived in Garfield and Clifton before moving to Wayne. A parishioner of St. Joseph's RC Church, Passaic, Stanislaw was a Mechanic at Prodo-Pak Co. in Garfield before retiring in 1999. Beloved husband for 38 years of Teresa (Bednarczyk) Kocanda. Devoted father of Christopher of Wayne, Diana Galazyn and her husband Andrew of Wayne, Kathy Kocanda, of Wayne, and her fiance Giovanni DeCesare of Hackensack. Dear brother of Teresa Poltorak of Parsippany, and Krystyna Lapczynski of Poland. Adoring Grandfather of Ava and Ryan. Funeral Friday 8 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave Clifton, and 9 AM at St. Joseph's RC Church, Passaic. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery Saddle Brook.
