Stanislaw Babicz, 84, of Wayne, passed away on May 4, 2022. Born in Poland, Staś came to the US in 1962 and first settled in Clifton before moving to his new home in Wayne, in the house that he built for his wife and himself, in 1998. He was a Mechanic Supervisor for Garden State Paper Co. in Garfield for 30 years before retiring. A parishioner of St. John Kanty RC Church Clifton, Stanley was a past president and member of the Wisla Soccer Club in Garfield.

Staś spent much of his free time at his mountain cabin in upstate New York. Hunting, fishing and telling stories by the campfire were his favorite past-times. After retiring, Staś and his wife, Ludka, traveled across the US with their family before finally settling on a vacation home in Bonita Springs, FL. He and Ludka spent many months every year enjoying the sun and warm weather.

Beloved husband for 56 years of Ludmila "Ludka" Babicz. Devoted father of Diane Babicz and her husband Humberto Fernandini of Miami Beach, FL, and Richard Babicz and his wife Michele of Denville. Cherished Dziadzio of Adam and Sam Babicz and Zofia and Julian Fernandini.

A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, May 23, 2022 from 6-8PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, 11AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton.
