Stacia R. (Sloma) Oles, of Passaic, passed away on January 8, 2014. Born in Passaic, she was a lifelong resident. A parishioner of St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton, Stacia was a member of the former Leisure Club and was the first President and Founding Member of the Rosary Society of Holy Rosary RC Church, Passaic. Past President and Founding Member of the National Council of Catholic Women, Stacia had worked with cancer dressing and worked with many area hospitals. Stacia was an School Aide for the Passaic City Health Department of 20 years, retiring in 1987, and was an avid reader. Beloved wife for 56 years of the late Edward J. Oles who passed away in 1997. Devoted mother of Barbara Lawrence and her husband Mike of Basking Ridge, and Retired Ocean County Superior Court Judge Edward M. Oles and his wife Kathryn of Toms River. Loving grandmother of 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Josephine Janeczek of Passaic and the late Francis and Stanley Sloma. Funeral Monday 10:30 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 11 AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton. Interment, St. Michael's Cemetery, South Hackensack. Visiting Monday 9:30-10:30 AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations made to your favorite charity in memory of Stacia, would be greatly appreciated.
