Sophie (Serafin) Szwed, 79, of Jupiter, FL, passed away on February 25, 2013. Born in Poland, she came to the US in 1962 and settled in Passaic, living in Clifton for 39 years before moving to Florida in 2009. A former parishioner of St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton, Sophie worked for Beecham Products in Clifton for 20 years, retiring in 1996. Beloved wife of the late Stanley, who passed away in 1994. Devoted mother of John and his wife Donna of Florida, Stan and his wife Lily, and Alex and his wife Rocio, all of California, and Henry and his wife Michele of Glen Ridge. Dear sister of Stephanie Rogalny of New York State. Loving grandmother of 7. Funeral Saturday 8 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 9 AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook.
