Sophie Mendyk, 102, of Clifton, passed away on July 3, 2022. Born in Ravenna, OH, she has been a resident of the Athenia Section of Clifton since 1924. A parishioner of St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton, Sophie was a member of the SJK Leisure Club for many years.

Beloved wife of the late Louis S. Mendyk, Sr., who passed away in 1989. Devoted mother of Barbara Henningsen and her husband Rick of Pequannock, and the late Louis Mendyk, Jr. Loving grandmother of many grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Visiting Thursday 4-8 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral Friday 8:45 AM at the funeral home and 10 AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton. Interment, St. Michael's Cemetery, South Hackensack.
