Sophie Karpinski, 87 of Passaic passed away on September 19, 2021. Born in Lelitkow, Poland, she traveled to the US in 1951 and settled in Passaic. Sophie worked as a caregiver for Daughters of Mariam Center, Clifton, for over 10 years before retiring.

Devoted mother of Mary Rivera and her husband Robert "JR" of Tamiment, PA, Joseph Karpinski and his wife Susan of Carlstadt, Jean Williamson and her husband Michael of Lake Wales, FL, Robert Karpinski of Basking Ridge and JoAnn Lancaster and her husband Donald of Woodland Park. Loving grandmother of 9. Cherished great grandmother of 9. Dear Sister of Leocadia Matuszczak of Clifton. Loving aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Visiting Thursday 4 – 6 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, with a prayer service beginning at 5:30 PM. Cremation private.
