Sophie Bartkowski's Obituary
Sophie Bartkowski, 90, of Clifton, passed away on September 5, 2017. Born in Rokiciny, Podhalanskie, Poland, she came to the US in 1964 and settled in Newark before moving to Clifton in 1992.
A parishioner of St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton, Sophie was a member of the Polish Rosary Society, and helped the Loaves & Fishes make pierogi. Before retiring in 1992, Sophie was an Electronics Component Operator for many years.

Beloved wife of the late Joseph who passed away in 1970. Devoted mother of Adam Bartkowski and his wife Margaret of California, and Christine Polanowski and her husband Richard of Jackson. Loving grandmother of Alison Bartkowski, Joanne Czeck and her husband Steve, Pamela Tramontano and her husband Joe. Cherished great grandmother of Nicholas and Claire. The youngest of 9 children, Sophie was predeceased by all of her siblings.
Funeral Saturday 9 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton. Interment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Visiting Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
