Sonia (Margolis) Zanetti, 95, of Passaic, passed away on February 13, 2024. Born and raised in Passaic, Sonia lived most of her life in various New Jersey towns before moving to Lafayette in 2002.

Sonia was the beloved wife of the late Erwin Frank Zanetti; the cherished sister of Rose Coussoulis, Mary Natoli, Josephine Dittrich, the late Nancy Biedrzycki, John, Michael and Tony Sylvester, and Jimmy, Peter and Helen Margolis; and the devoted and loving aunt of many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Sonia was a gentle, sensitive woman who loved her family very much and looked forward to seeing her many siblings and their children.  She especially loved gatherings on holidays where she would quietly observe and enjoy our family traditions. As an avid animal lover, she loved watching the annual Dog Show each Thanksgiving, sneaking food any chance she got to all the pups lucky enough to be near her. She also played a mean game of rummy when passing quality time with her sisters.

Visiting hours are Monday, February 19, 2024, 4-8 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave, Clifton. The funeral service will take place during visiting hours at 6 PM.  The interment is Tuesday, February 20, 2024, 11:30 PM at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
