A Homemaker, Sonia enjoyed reading the Bible, listening to Christian music, shopping, and cooking and caring for her family. Beloved wife of 54 years of Felix Torres. Devoted mother of Marilyn Guzman and her husband Jose of Clifton, Anabel Torres-Perez and her husband Samuel Perez of Miramar, FL, Jimmy Torres and his wife Carmen of Belleville, Edwin Torres and his wife Madeline of Verona, and Lissette Torres of Paterson. Cherished grandmother of Jennifer, Jose, Andres, Amanda, Sergio, Jasmine, Erica, Eric, Alyssa, Thalia, Christian and Israel. Adored great-grandmother of David, Antonio, Aidan, Anthony and Ellena. Dear sister of Manuel Acevedo of the Dominican Republic. Loving Aunt of many nieces and nephews, especially Maria Elizabeth Perez.
