Sister Mary Roberta, Funeral services for Sister Mary Roberta Zelek will be held at the Felician Sisters' Immaculate Conception Convent Chapel, Lodi, at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2015. Sister Mary Roberta will then be laid to rest in the Felician Sisters' Cemetery. Sister Mary Roberta died on July 4, 2015, in Lodi, she was 86 years old and had been a Felician Sister for 69 years. A Wake Service with Evening Prayer will be held at Immaculate Conception Convent Chapel on Tuesday evening, July 7, 2015, at 6:00 p.m. The former Bernice Zelek, Sister Mary Roberta was born in Newark, New Jersey in 1928. She entered the postulancy of the Felician Sisters in Lodi, New Jersey in 1946; received the Felician habit in 1947; professed her first vows in 1948 and final vows in 1954. Sister Mary Roberta is survived by members of her extended family and by her religious community. Arrangements are under the direction of the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton.
