Sister Mary Hiltrude, Funeral services for Sister Mary Hiltrude Koba will be held at the Felician Sisters' Infirmary Chapel, Our Lady of Lourdes Hall, at 11 AM on Friday morning. Following the Mass of Christian Burial, Sister will be laid to rest in the Felician Sisters' Cemetery in Lodi. Sister Mary Hiltrude died on January 10, 2012 in Lodi. She was 95 years old and had been a Felician Sister for 78 years. An Evening Prayer service will be held at the same location this evening. The former Laura Rose Koba, Sister Mary Hiltrude was born in Philadelphia in 1916. She entered the postulancy of the Felician Sisters in Lodi in 1933, and received the Felician habit in 1934. She made first religious vows in 1935 and professed final vows in 1941. Thoroughly committed to the education ministry, Sister Mary Hiltrude was Dean of Academic Affairs at Felician College in Lodi from 1965 to 1977 and President of Felician College from 1977 to 1984. After her presidency, Sister Hiltrude remained at Felician College as Director of Development and Moderator of the Older is Better Program until 2006. At that time she was transferred to the infirmary. Sister Mary Hiltrude is mourned by members of her extended family and by her religious community and professional colleagues.
