Sister Mary Elfrida. Funeral services for Sister Mary Elfrida Zola will be held at the Felician Sisters' Our Lady of Lourdes Chapel, Lodi, at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 11, 2013. Sister Elfrida will then be laid to rest in the Felician Sisters' Cemetery. Sister Mary Elfrida died on January 8, 2013 in Passaic. She was 82 years old and had been a Felician Sister for 64 years. A Wake Service with Evening Prayer will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Chapel on Thursday evening at 5:30 p.m. The former Rita Zola, Sister Mary Elfrida was born in Trenton in 1930. She entered the postulancy of the Felician Sisters in Lodi in 1948; received the Felician habit in 1949; professed her first vows in 1950 and final vows in 1956. Sister Mary Elfrida ministered in the healthcare profession as a pharmacist. Sister Mary Elfrida is mourned by her sisters Joan Baroni of Old Bridge, and Marie Bleistein of Trenton as well as by members of her extended family.
