Sister Mary Edward Funeral services for Sister Mary Edward Zdziebkowska will be held at the Felician Sisters' Our Lady of Lourdes Chapel, Lodi, at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2014. Sister Mary Edward will then be laid to rest in the Felician Sisters' Cemetery. Sister Mary Edward died on August 11, 2014, in Lodi, she was 91 years old and had been a Felician Sister for 73 years. A Wake Service with Evening Prayer will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Chapel this evening, August 13, at 6:00 p.m. The former Josephine Zdziebkowska, Sister Mary Edward was born in Jersey City, New Jersey in 1923. She entered the postulancy of the Felician Sisters in Lodi, New Jersey in 1941; received the Felician habit in 1942; professed her first vows in 1943 and final vows in 1949. Sister Mary Edward is survived by members of her extended family and by her religious community. Arrangements under the direction of the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton.
