Sister Mary Colette, Funeral services for Sister Mary Colette Misiewicz will be held at the Felician Sisters Infirmary Chapel, Our Lady of Lourdes Hall, at 11 AM on Friday morning, January 7, 2011.

Following the Mass of Christian Burial, Sister will be laid to rest in the Felician Sisters Cemetery in Lodi. Sister Mary Colette died on January 4, 2011 in Lodi, New Jersey. She was 90 years old and had been a Felician Sister for 71 years. A Morning Prayer service will be held at the same location preceding the funeral at 9 AM that same morning.

The former Lucy Misiewicz, Sister Mary Colette was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, in 1920. She entered the postulancy of the Felician Sisters in Lodi, New Jersey in 1939, and received the Felician habit in 1940. She made first religious vows in 1941 and professed final vows in 1947.

Thoroughly committed to the education ministry, Sister Colette taught in elementary schools in the Archdioceses of Baltimore, Philadelphia and Newark as well as in the Dioceses of Wilmington, Camden, Metuchen and Paterson. Sister Mary Colette is survived by her sister Dorothy Matlack of Burlington, NJ and several members of her extended family who mostly reside in New Jersey.
