Funeral services for Sister Mary Carmelita Orzechowski will be held at the Felician Sisters' Our Lady of Lourdes Chapel, Lodi, New Jersey on Wednesday, November 18, 2020.  Sister Mary Carmelita will then be laid to rest in the Felician Sisters' Cemetery in Lodi.  Sister Mary Carmelita died on November 13, 2020, in  Lodi, New Jersey.  She was 98 years old and had been a Felician Sister for 78 years.

The former Josephine Orzechowska, Sister Mary Carmelita was born in Camden, New Jersey in 1922 .   She entered the postulancy of the Felician Sisters in Lodi, New Jersey in 1942; received the Felician habit in 1943; professed her first vows in 1944 and final vows in 1950.  She spent most of her religious life in the educational ministry, specializing in high school French.  In later life she was the Director of Medical Records at Saint Joseph Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.
