Silvo Sclano, Beloved Husband, Babbo and Nonno, 81, formerly of Clifton passed away on November 10, 2024. Born in Porto Santo Stefano, Italy, he came to the US in 1970 and lived in Union City, Jersey City, and Clifton for 44 years, before moving to Toms River. The owner and Master Chef of Nanni Restaurant in NYC for 25 years, retiring in 2015, Silvo enjoyed playing cards, trips to Atlantic City, cooking, and swimming in the ocean. Silvo also loved going back home to Italy.

Beloved husband of Giuseppa "Josephine" (Ragone). Devoted father of Rosanna Sclano, and Roberto Sclano and his wife Christal. Loving grandfather of Alina, Giuliana, Matteo and Cristiano. Cherished son of the late Alina (Costanzo) and Adulio Sclano. Dear brother of Giuseppe Sclano and his wife Domenica, the late Roberto Sclano and his wife Marcella, and the late Celestina Sclano. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Visiting Thursday, November 14, 2024, 4-8 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Prayer service will begin at 7:15 PM at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org in memory of Silvo, would be greatly appreciated.
