Sigmund T. Zak, 93, of Clifton, passed away on October 21, 2014. Born in Passaic, he has been a resident of Clifton for most of his life. A parishioner of St. Clare's RC Church, Clifton, Sigmund was a member of the St. Clare's Leisure Club. An Army Air Force Veteran during WW II, Sigmund was a Machinist for Raybestos Manhattan Rubber Co. in Passaic for 33 years. Sigmund also worked as a Postal Clerk in the Rutherford Post Office for 14 years before retiring in 1986. Beloved husband of Eleanor (Jasaitis). Devoted father of Sister Ellen Zak of Riverhead, NY, and Stephanie Ali and her husband George of Montvale. Loving grandfather of Alecia and Gregory. Dear brother of Henry of Little Falls. Funeral Friday 10 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 11 AM at St. Clare's RC Church, Clifton. Interment, St. Michael's Cemetery, South Hackensack. Visiting Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
