Obituary

Shirley Mae (Bell) Gensinger, 79 of Wayne, formerly of Clifton, was granted her angel wings on May 26, 2010 following a long illness.

Born April 4, 1931 in Passaic to her proud parents, Paul and Alyce Bell, Shirley lived in Clifton most of her life before moving to Wayne 10 years ago.

She is survived by her son David Gensinger of Clifton and daughters Phyllis Miller of Garfield, Alyse Gensinger of Clifton and Heidi White of Vernon. Shirley just lost her oldest son Stephen in August of 2009. Shirley is also survived by her sister Judith Sawyers and her husband Norman, and niece Deborah Liebhauser of South Carolina, and her former husband Stephen Gensinger of Florida. She was the proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Shirley was a loved resident of Summer Hill Apartments in Wayne where she had many friends. She was a devout Christian and member of the Grace Church of Clifton where she attended all of her life and was a Girls Youth Group Leader and taught English as a Second Language Classes. Shirley was a member of the Clifton Board of Elections for many years, was a Tour Guide at Lambert Castle, and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Passaic, since 1962. She loved the beach, boating, crafting and life in general.

Funeral Saturday 10 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Interment, Crest Haven Memorial Park, Clifton. Visiting Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
