Santina "Syd" Merandino Tinnerello of Wayne died peacefully at home on Dec. 9th at the age of 96. Born on April 24, 1923 in NYC, she later moved to East Rutherford and Lyndhurst.

Prior to getting married, she worked at Becton Dickinson in East Rutherford for 10 years. Syd was an avid traveler who visited many destinations around the world with her favorite being the Holy Land in Israel. She had a passion for music and was a proud member of her church choir. She took great pride in her home and loved playing hosts to guests.

Survivors include her daughter Jacqueline Tinnerello Stevens, much loved grandson Robert Stevens, brother Anthony Merandino, his wife Rosary, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas, daughter Joan, and her sister Lee Connelly.
