Santa (Monaco) Pittari, 93, of Belmont, CA, formerly of Clifton, passed away on December 19, 2012. Born in Passaic, NJ, Santa grew up in Sicily, then lived in Passaic & Clifton for 58 years. She worked as a seamstress and a machine operator retiring in 1977. She was a parishioner of St. Andrew the Apostle Church, Clifton. Santa loved being with her family, eating at Indian restaurants, traveling to the woods of Maine, watching Shirley Temple movies, playing Bingo, taking her daily walks and exercise class and socializing with her many dear friends at Belmont Vista. Beloved wife of the late Carmelo Pittari who passed away in 1983. Cherished mother of Annette Pittari of San Carlos, CA and Ben Pittari of Boca Raton, FL. Treasured grandmother of Marina Pittari. Dear sister of Grace LaMonaca of Kinnelon, NJ and Giuseppina Prinzi of Motta d'Affermo, Sicily and the late sisters Mary Miragliotta, Paula Monaco and Sebastiana Noto, and late brothers Frank and Peter Monaco. Aunt, Great-Aunt and Great-Great Aunt to many adored nieces and nephews. Funeral Saturday 8 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 9 AM at St. Andrew the Apostle RC Church.
