Sandra (Mirabella) Mekita, 87, of Fairfield, passed away on January 27, 2019. Born and raised in Clifton, Sandra lived in Florida and Toms River before settling in Fairfield several years ago. A Hairdresser, Sandra styled clients at Cameo Cottage on Van Houten Avenue for 27 years, retiring in 2012. A member of the Athenia Veterans Post of Clifton, Sandra also served as President of the Ladies Auxiliary.

Beloved wife of the late John Jr. who passed away in 2009. Devoted mother of Keith and his wife Lori of Clifton, Gary and his wife Barbara of Fairfield, and John and his wife Deana of Lakeland, FL. Cherished grandmother of Derek, Sandra, Scott, Jesse, Tyler, and Kaylee. Dear sister of Rose Lazzaro of Clifton, Lucille Foley of Belvidere, and the late Joseph, Anthony, and Dominic Mirabella; Gaetana Gebbia, Mildred Borgess, Jean Milmark, and Frances Sinatra.
