Samuel Soroko, 87, of Clifton passed away on July 19, 2015. Born in Smithmill, PA, Sam moved to Clifton 68 years ago. A parishioner of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, Passaic, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. Sam was a Master Carpenter for most of his life and was the Owner/Operator of Soroko Roofing & Siding Co., Clifton, for over 50 years, retiring in 1995. Sam was also very talented in the art of stained glass and took up creating many works of art as a hobby in his later years, especially for the loves of his life, his children. Beloved husband for 65 years of Julia (Molodowitz). Devoted father of Thomas Soroko and his wife Joanne of Florida, Samuel P. Soroko and his wife Susan of Kinnelon, and Theresa Soroko, M.D. of Cedar Grove. Adored grandfather of David, Thomas, Jaclyn, Michael, Nicole and Briana. Funeral Friday 8:45 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, & 10 AM at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church. Cremation Private. Visiting Thursday 5-8 PM with Parastas at 7:30 PM at the funeral home.
