Salvatore J. LaCorte, 71, of Nutley, passed away on December 9, 2012 after a long illness. Born in Passaic, he lived in Garfield before moving to Nutley in 1976. Salvatore faithfully served the US in both the Navy and Naval Reserve for many years, and was a Credit Manager for Dunn & Bradstreet in East Orange, retiring in 2001. After retiring, Sal was a para-professional for the Belleville Board of Education aiding Handicapped Students. Sal enjoyed golfing, reading, watching Westerns, loved playing Pinnocle, was a huge football fan, especially rooting for the Giants, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Beloved husband of Loretta (Majewski). Devoted father of Robert and his wife Jenn, of Statesville, NC, and David and his fiance Janet, of Charlotte, NC. Dear brother of Mary Osswald of Toledo, Ohio. Loving uncle of several nieces and nephews. Sadly missed by his hunting dog "Patches". Funeral Thursday 10:15 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 11:30 AM at Mt.
