Ryszard "Richie" Jedrzej, 62, of Clifton, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2022. Born in Swietochlowice, Poland, he came to the US in 1978 and lived in Passaic before moving to Clifton about 35 years ago.

Richie was a Supervisor for Incinia Contracting, Inc., in Clifton for the past several years and was, what his late wife called, a true MacGyver including being very handy and constantly renovating or fixing something around the house. He loved to dance, especially with his girls, nieces, sister or friends, he loved going upstate to relax with his grandchildren or to enjoy golf days with his son-in-law and family, holiday traditions with dearest close ones, and most of all, video chatting with family and loved ones far away.

Beloved husband for 32 years of the late Diana Lynn (Bovee) Jedrzej, who passed away in 2018. Devoted father of Joanna Paruta and her husband Chris, and Alesia Jedrzej, all of Clifton. Loving grandfather (better known as Dziadzius) of Julianna and Brayden. Dear brother of Janusz (Bagusia) Jendrey of Germany, and Irena (Stanley) Sloma of Simpsonville, South Carolina. He is predeceased by his loving parents, Jerzy and Klara Jedrzej and his brothers, Stanislaw Jedrzej and Henrik Jendrzej. Richie also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visiting Friday 4-8 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral Saturday 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Interment, East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.
