Ruth V. Fontanez's Obituary
Ruth V. Fontanez, 81, of Passaic, passed away on June 23, 2018. Born in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, she came to the mainland in 1998 and settled in Passaic. Ruthy, a homemaker, was a member of New Beginnings Cathedral (Caterdral Nuevos Comienzos), Passaic.
Beloved wife for 55 years of the late Julio Ocasio who passed away in 2017. Devoted mother of Kenneth Ocasio and his wife Mayra of San Antonio, TX, Daniel Ocasio and his wife Iris N. of Valrico, FL, Julio Ocasio and his wife Gladys of Pueblo, CO, and Annette Cantor and her husband Jose of Clifton. Loving grandmother of 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Naomi Hamowy, Angel, Carlos and Neida, and the late Enrique, Jose and Rafael Fontanez.
Visiting and Funeral Service Wednesday 7-10 PM at Catedral Nuevos Comienzos, 15 Grove St., Passaic. Cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to St. Joseph's Health Foundation, 703 Main Ave., Paterson, NJ 07503, www.StJosephsHealth.org/donate in memory of Ruth, would be greatly appreciated.
