Rudolph John Sanson, Jr. passed away peacefully on June 2nd, 2023. Born in Passaic, New Jersey on November 15 1937, "Rudy" spent all of his childhood years living in Clifton with his mother Edith, father Rudolph, and younger sister Carole.

Beloved husband for 62 years of Marilyn (Pavlick). Devoted father of Jackie Sokol of Morris Plains and her late husband Wes Sokol, as well as Susan Rentschler and her husband David of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. Cherished grandfather of Thomas, Tim, Christie and Sam. Loving brother of Carole Krolikowski of Amherst, New Hampshire.

He graduated from Pope Pius High School in Passaic, then attended Seton Hall University for a BS in Accounting and a Juris Doctorate in Law, and would later receive a Masters in Tax Law at NYU. He graduated 5th in his class at Seton Hall Law School while working a full time job during the day and going to class at night.

Rudy worked as a tax attorney for many years at Gulf & Western and was able to travel the world during his time there. Countries he visited include Brazil, Mexico, Italy, England and more.

He eventually settled in Wayne with his wife and kids, and spent many winters in Delray Beach, Florida. Rudy was an avid golfer, a licensed pilot, a great chess player, and a keen reader. He was especially fond of attending his grandchildren's sports and activities.

Memorial Mass Saturday, June 10, 2023,10:30am at Saint Mary's Church, 17 Pompton Ave, Pompton Lakes. Cremation was private under the direction of Compassionate Cremation Services, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton.
